Selling your products at local art shows and craft fairs is a great way to network in your community, but it’s not the easiest way to grow your business. Landing your products on the shelves at boutiques or other retailers is the key to success.

How do you find retailers who might be interested in your products? What do you include in your initial pitch? How many products should be featured in a line? What materials should you develop before connecting with retailers?

We have brought together three established stationery business owners to answer all of these questions and more in this three-day live online workshop. This program will unwrap the strategies stationery designers use to successfully sell their products in retail.

This workshop will cover:

– What wholesalers look for in artists
– How wholesalers curate artists for their brand
– Guidance for the planning of your product lin
– Pitching your products to retailers
–  Managing sales partnerships
– Finding the right retailers for your signature paper goods style
– Pitching your stationery to retailers (do’s and dont’s)

Janet & Darrell –
Janet and Darrell are the co-founders of Fox & Fallow. After years in the wedding industry, making cute & quirky stationery, chalkboards and timber signs for brides and grooms across Australia and the world, they thought it was time to introduce a ready-made line for retailers. Janet’s background is in graphic design and art direction. After 10 years in design studios and advertising, her passion for calligraphy, hand lettering and illustration drove her to create her own company where she could create beautiful, handcrafted products for those who share her love of design and typography. In partnership with Darrell’s passion for carpentry and hand-crafted goods (albeit a lawyer by day), Fox & Fallow could expand to include hand-made chalkboards and timber products with Janet’s hand-lettered artwork. The style of goods that sets the shop apart is a rich part of the creative spirit that reaches customers and wholesalers. Mac and Murphy has this down. They are established and will be sharing their story and guidance.
