Valerie Necchio Food blog Life Love Food grew out of Valerie Necchio’s nostalgia for her small town upbringing in Italy and the recipes that shaped her love of meals prepared with seasonal ingredients and shared with family and friends. Part travelogue part love letter to seasonal eats, Necchio combines photography, recipes, and story with tantalizing detail. Session One – Creating Rock Solid Recipes with Olaiya Land of Milly’s Kitchen

In this hour-long session, you’ll learn to move beyond basic recipe development into keeping inspiration alive over time as a food blogger. Food writer and photographer Olaiya Land of Milly’s Kitchen will teach you the art of food blogging – taking recipes and creating lively content that draws readers in. She will also show you how to develop consistent work processes while growing and maintaining your blog.

We will cover:

– Staying inspired and developing recipes
– Transforming recipes into engaging content
– Creating processes and editing your work

Session Two – Food Photography & Styling with Aimee Twigger

In this hour-long session, you’ll learn the do’s and don’ts of food photography (hint: You don’t need an expensive camera, but you do need to know some basic techniques). Led by Aimee Twigger, founder of the Twigg Studios blog, you’ll learn food photography basics and more advanced touches like using props and telling stories with your images.

We will cover:

– Editing and post-processing
– Getting started with food photography
– Creating well-composed images.
– Styling tips and tricks to help your food look amazing.
– Props, plating and setting up a scene
– Visual storytelling

Session Three – Writing About Food & Getting Published with Valeria Necchio

This hour-long session walks you through the journey from newbie food writer to published author. Led by cookbook author and food blogger Valeria Necchio of Life Love Food, you’ll learn how to get started in food writing and how to eventually turn your body of work into a book.

We will cover:

– Getting started with food writing
– Writing about food and engaging readers
– Professional food writing and getting published
