About the instructors:

Katie Jobling is a UK based self-taught artist focused on documenting life with her paint & paintbrush. Katie worked in an office for seven years before leaving to start her own art business.  Katie documents her process online and quickly amassed an international following around her work.

Karina Eibatova is an illustrator and fine-artist, born in Leningrad, USSR, leads a nomadic lifestyle and is currently based in London. Karina specializes in drawing, illustration, murals, video, calligraphy and typography. Her portfolio reveals a versatile artist equally adept at colorful surrealist explorations as well as more traditional approaches. Karina’s work is connected to the notions of nature, peace and love. Influenced by Earth and space, she delicately transforms floral motives into her own surreal, psychedelic scenes, rebelling against the remorseless actions of society and the continual destruction of the environment.She has been published in various international books and magazines and has collaborated with several musicians for video and album-cover projects.  Her work has been featured in The New York Times, NYLON and WIRED.

Laura Blythman is a designer, illustration and creative director. She is renowned for her vibrant use of colour and paper collage. Laura has turned her work into prints and products that have garnered a legion of fans. Her recognisable aesthetic has garnered her a legion of fans and a super happy + colourful portfolio of work with clients ranging from start up businesses to high profile Australian and International brands. Collaborators and clients include – National Gallery of Victoria, Boomf, Rollie Shoes, Galison / Mudpuppy, Frankie Magazine, Land of nod, Such Great Heights, Finders Keepers Market, Typo, Lark, Mr.Wolf Kids, Cotton On Kids, T2 teas, and so many more.

Session One – Selling Prints and Products with Laura Blythman

Laura Blythman is a designer, illustration and creative director. She is renowned for her vibrant use of colour and paper collage. Laura has turned her work into prints and products that have garnered a legion of fans.Her unique style and attention to detail has allowed her to build a successful art business. This session will show you how build an audience around your art, and develop prints and products that sell.

This session will explore:

– Developing a cohesive style

– Finding platforms to sell your art
– Marketing yourself as an artist

Session Two – Creating products from your art with Karina Eibatova

Karina Eibatova is an illustrator and fine-artist who specializes in drawing, illustration, murals, video, calligraphy and typography. Karina has turned many of her most popular pieces into products from pillows to playing cards. This session will show you how to build an audience around your work, and develop products your followers will love.

This session will explore:

– Creating products from your artwork
– Building a social following
– Selling artwork on social media

Session Three – Selling Custom Commissions with Katie Jobling

Selling art commissions requires you to truly connect with your audience. Katie Jobling is a self-taught artist focused who built an international following by sharing her process online. This session will show you how to engage followers in your work, and begin selling custom commissions online.
